Refund & Cancellation Policy

What we collect, and what we don't

We never hold your fare. The ride fare and the cargo charge are paid directly to the driver in cash or UPI. My Savaari introduces you to a driver; the money for the journey itself never passes through us, so there is nothing for us to refund on a fare.

The only amount we collect online is a small platform fee. It pays for the introduction — putting your request in front of nearby drivers and holding the match once you confirm.

How much the platform fee is

The fee depends on which side you are on and whether it is a ride or cargo. Each charge can be switched on, switched off, or repriced by us at any time, so we do not quote a fixed amount here. The exact amount is always shown in the app on the confirmation screen, before you pay. If no fee is shown, none is being charged.

• Passenger — ride booking fee: charged when you confirm a driver's fare.
• Driver — ride confirmation fee: added to your dues when a passenger confirms you.
• Cargo customer — booking fee: charged when you confirm a driver's quote.
• Cargo driver — job accept fee: added to your dues when a customer confirms you.

Driver charges are not taken trip by trip. They accumulate as dues, which a driver settles from the app within 24 hours.

Cancelling a ride or a cargo job

You can cancel from the app at any time up to pickup. What happens to the platform fee depends on when you cancel.

• Before you confirm a driver — cancel freely. Nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to refund. Your request is withdrawn and the drivers who offered are told.
• Within 5 minutes of confirming — contact us and we refund the platform fee in full. This is the window for an honest mistake: wrong pickup, wrong date, changed your mind.
• After 5 minutes, or once the driver has set off — the platform fee is not refunded. The introduction has been made and the driver has committed their time to you.
• The driver cancels, or does not arrive — you get the platform fee back in full, always. You did not receive what you paid for, and you should not have to argue the case.
• We cancel — if we cancel for safety, suspected fraud, or because no driver could be found, the fee is refunded in full.
• A shared ride where another rider cancels — your booking stands and the split is recalculated. A fare you have already confirmed never goes up because somebody else left.

If a payment fails or is taken twice

If money leaves your account but the booking does not confirm — a dropped connection, a gateway error, a duplicate charge — that amount is refunded in full. Send us the transaction reference and we will trace it with our payment partner.

Driver dues

Dues owed by a driver are for matches already made and are not refundable. If you believe a due was raised in error — a passenger who never travelled, for instance — contact us. We will review it and remove it if we agree.

Cancelling too often

Cancelling occasionally is normal and carries no penalty. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows, by a passenger or a driver, may lead to a warning and then a suspended account, because they waste other people's time and money.

How to request a refund

Email admin@mysavaari.com with:

• Your registered mobile number.
• The booking reference shown on the confirmation screen in the app.
• The transaction reference from your bank or UPI app, if you have it.

We reply within 2 working days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank. We cannot refund to a different account or in cash.
